Our telehandler training follows the guidelines set out in the HSE's Approved Code of Practice L117 'Rider operated lift trucks'. Telescopic Handler training can be a minefield with all of the different types and weight limits. Below you will find a guide to the ABA (Accrediting Bodies Association) categories which includes Agricultural, Construction and Industrial Telehandlers.
We offer two levels of telehandler training accreditation from ITSSAR and BRITTOp We believe that accredited training rather than in-house training is far more beneficial to both the trainee and employer. Accredited training means that you always receive the most up to date Health and Safety Information, Registered Instructors, National Testing Standards and Recognised Certification.
Our Telehandler training courses run with a maximum of three candidates per course. This can be completed as either a Novice, Experienced Operator or as a Conversion from another similar Telehandler.
We offer Telehandler Refresher training for previously qualified operators. This training is recommended to be completed every 3-5 years or in the event of accident or workplace change.
If your Telehandler uses an attachment such as extended forks, jib arm or box winch it is recommended that the operator receives appropriate training for this attachment.
Typically courses are 1 Day (Refresher) to 5 days for a group of Novices. Contact Right On Forklift Training for more information.
No, but you must have received adequate training on the machine you wish to use.
This is a common misconception, there is no such thing as a Telehandler Licence in the UK. Training providers will offer a certificate of basic training or a operators I.D card, but never a Licence.
