Multidirectional Forklifts offer a one truck solution to handling awkward size loads and offer the versatility of being able to travel in any direction over varying terrain. Commonly referred to as Combi-Lifts there are several manufacturers of these machines.
Training on the safe and efficient use of Multidirectional Forklifts is essential and is recommended within the HSE's Approved Code of Practice L117 - Rider Operated Lift Trucks.
We understand that each industry uses their Multi Forklift for specific tasks and our modern course programmes can be tailored specifically to you and your team, including handling long loads and vehicle loading.
Which Multidirectional Forklifts do you train on?
M1 - Multidirectional Counterbalance Forklift
M2 - Multidirectional Sideloader
M3 - Multidirectional Reach Truck
Check the bottom of this page for photos of these machines.
What will I get at the end of the course?
Every trainee will receive a nationally recognised and accredited certificate of basic training from either ITSSAR (Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register) or BRITTOp (British Register of Industrial Truck Trainers and Operators). We also issue optional photo ID cards with each course.
No, a Multi forklift drives and operates very differently to a counterbalance forklift.
Importantly the stability factors are also very different.
However, you can complete a conversion course from Counterbalance or Reach truck to a Multidirectional Forklift which is much shorter in time.
